ABM Abul Kashem, a former lawmaker and Chittagong (north) district unit vice-president of Awami League, died of old age complications in the capital's Square Hospital yesterday. He was 80.

He left behind his wife, five sons, including Sitakunda Upazila Chairman SM Al Mamun, and a daughter.

His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad today at 10:00am, second one at Sitakunda High School at 2:00pm and the last one at his Salimpur village at 4:30pm.

He will be buried in his family graveyard.
