Ziauddin meets US congressman Mike
The government's present struggle is against extremists, perpetrators of the crimes against humanity and anti-liberation forces in Bangladesh, said Bangladesh's Ambassador to the US Mohammad Ziauddin Thursday.
He said this at a meeting with Democrat Congressman Mike Honda at the Capitol Hill where they discussed the current political situation in Bangladesh.
Ziauddin said the government vowed "zero tolerance" against all forms of extremism and terrorism and is working closely with the USA, neighbours and other friendly countries in this regard.
Political Counselor Nayem Uddin Ahmed accompanied the ambassador.
