Left leaning student organisations—Bangladesh Chhatra Union, Samajtantrik Chhatra Front, Bangladesh Chhtra Moitri and Shaheed Moin Hossain Raju Sangsad placed floral wreaths at the base of Raju Memorial as tribute to Raju, now widely regarded as the advocate of anti-terrorism in the country.
Besides, Bangladesh Juba Union, different units of Bangladesh Chhatra Union including Jagannath University and private university unit also paid their homage to the memorial on his 29th death anniversary.
Later, Chhatra Union arranged a discussion programme at Dhaka University's Madhur Canteen where Abdullah Mahmud Khan, a friend of Raju in Dhaka University campus, addressed among others.
"We are taking oath imbued with the spirit of Shaheed Raju to continue our ongoing fight against terrorism," Foez Ullah, president of Bangladesh Chhatra Union said while addressing the programme.
Seeking justice over the murder, Foez demanded to include March 13 in the Dhaka University calendar as Anti-Terrorism Raju Day.
