Speakers at a publication ceremony yesterday highlighted educationalist Prof Burhanuddin Khan Jahangir's contributions to the country and society, saying he helped enlighten all.
"Rashtra Samaj Sangskriti", edited by historian Muntassir Mamoon and Premier University Vice Chancellor Prof Anupam Sen, was unveiled in the capital's Bangla Academy with Prof Emeritus Anisuzzaman in the chair marking Burhanuddin's 80th birth anniversary. Prof Burhanuddin is now in Canada. His younger brother and former home minister Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, Bangla Academy Director General Shamsuzzaman Khan and painter Hashem Khan spoke at the event.
