Asian University Presidents Forum to be held in Dhaka

Asian University Presidents Forum (AUPF) and Daffodil International University (DIU) in collaboration with Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB) will organise 18th Asian University Presidents Forum 2019 for the first time in Bangladesh on November 22-24, 2019.

A total of 150 presidents, rectors and vice chancellors from 40 universities of 15 Asian countries including Bangladesh will participate in AUPF, said a press release.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will attend as chief guest at the opening ceremony in Radisson Blu Water Garden hotel on November 23, while  Sheikh Kabir Hossain, chairperson of APUB will be present as special guest.

Baybars Altuntas, chairperson of World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), Turkey, will present the keynote speech of AUPF 2019 on the theme “Future of Entrepreneurship Education and Experiential Learning: Determinants of Developing Successful Entrepreneurial Eco-System in Asian Economies”.

Among others, Dr Kazi Shahidullah, chairperson of University Grants Commission; Enamul Haque Shamim, deputy minister for water resources, and Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, deputy minister for education, will attend the programme as guests.

Dr Yousuf M Islam, vice chancellor of Daffodil International University, spoke about the programme at a Meet the Press yesterday at 71 Milonayoton of the university.

Dr SM Mahbub-Ul-Haque Majumder, pro-vice chancellor of DIU and convener of AUPF 2019, also spoke at the press conference.
