BRAC Bank’s branch distribution network posted a record Tk 5,000 crore growth in current and savings account (CASA) deposits during the first six months of 2026, reflecting customers’ growing confidence in the bank and the network’s strong deposit mobilisation capabilities.

The milestone builds on the distribution network’s consistent growth momentum in recent years, reinforcing its contribution to the bank’s sustainable business expansion through relationship-driven banking and customer-centric services.

To celebrate the achievement, BRAC Bank PLC organised a recognition programme at the bank’s head office in Dhaka yesterday, according to a press release.

Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, managing director and CEO of the bank, inaugurated the programme as the chief guest.

Speaking at the event, Tareq credited the achievement to customers’ continued trust in BRAC Bank and the dedication of the branch network.

“This achievement reflects the trust our customers have placed in BRAC Bank and the strength of the relationships the branch network has built over the years,” he said.

“We remain committed to delivering a banking experience that earns that trust every day while sustaining our growth momentum,” he added.

Sheikh Mohammad Ashfaque, deputy managing director and head of branch distribution network at the bank, and Taher Hasan Al Mamun, senior zonal head, along with members of the management committee, leaders of the distribution network, regional heads and branch managers, were also present.
