Banking hour 10am to 3.30pm during lockdown

Banks will remain open from 10am to 3.30pm during the upcoming countrywide lockdown starting from July 1.
Md Serajul Islam, spokesperson and an executive director of Bangladesh Bank, said there was no directive for banks to limit their banking hours.
Banks will have to continue their operation what they have been doing.
Meanwhile, the government today said that all public transports, shopping malls, tourism and entertainment centres will remain closed from Monday to Thursday.
The central bank earlier asked banks to keep their branches open till 3.30pm instead of 4pm in every working day in order to contain the coronavirus pandemic.
The banking hours may be rescheduled following the government decision in the days to come, Islam said.
