Jashore cut off from other districts ahead of 'complete lockdown'

Jashore's road communication with other districts was cut off this afternoon ahead of the countrywide complete lockdown from Monday to curb the surge of Covid-19.

No vehicles are being allowed to enter in Jashore except vehicles used for transporting emergency goods, reports our Benapole correspondent quoting Mohammad Belal Hossain, additional superintendent of Jashore district police.

The district has been completely separated from others, he said.

"Covid-19 infection has alarmingly increased in Jashore district in the last few days," he said, adding that to curb the spread of Covid-19, communication with the surrounding districts has been completely cut off.

Check-posts have been installed in different parts of the district, he informed.
