Driver dies after vehicle hit by pick-up van in Dhaka’s Natun Bazar

A van driver was killed after a pick-up van hit his vehicle in Dhaka's Natun Bazar area this morning.

The deceased was identified as Babul Mia (40), hailing from Netrokona district.

Sub-inspector Nuruzzaman of Gulshan Police Station said a speeding pick-up van hit the victim's vehicle around 11:30am when he was passing through Coca-Cola intersection in Natun Bazar area, leaving him critically injured.

Pedestrians rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Police seized the pick-up van but its driver fled, the SI said.
