‘61 lakh Ansar members ready to help administration to enforce lockdown’ DG of Ansar and VDP says

Sixty-one lakh Ansar members are ready to work at the field level to assist administration in enforcing the seven-day "complete lockdown" started from July 1, said Major General Mizanur Rahman Shamim, director general of Ansar and VDP.

He was speaking after inauguration of a "tree plantation programme" at Ansar-VDP Academy in Gazipur, marking birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of the country's independence.

The DG said the government is going to enforce seven-day lockdown where Ansar members will assist the local administrations.
