Shironamhin releases music video of `Kashfuler Shohor Dekha’
Popular rock band Shironamhin released the music video of their newest song earlier today, on their YouTube channel. The song, "Kashfuler Shohor Dekha" is penned by the band's frontman Ziaur Rahman, and composed by the band's drummer Kazy Ahmad Shafin. The video is directed by Naimul Banin.
''Through the lyrics, I wanted to send a message to the audience that hope keeps us alive even in these tough times amidst the pandemic. It is important to keep that hope alive," Ziaur Rahman, who plays bass and cello on the song, told The Daily Star.
The song features band members Kazy Ahmad Shafin on drums and sarod, Diat khan on guitar, Symon Chowdhury on keyboard and Sheikh Ishtiaque on vocals. Celebrated singer, composer and music director Bappa Mazumder and actor Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed are featured in special roles in the video. Some other actors include MD Habibul Haque Rosham, Kazi Delowar Hemonto, Sarika Resh Rahman and Yeasin Ahmed Nahian.
Shironamhin, founded in 1996, has so far produced a number of hit albums and songs. Their albums, "Jahajee" (2004), "Ichchhe Ghuri" (2006), "Bondho Janala" (2009), "Shironamhin Rabindranath" (2010), and "Shironamhin" (2013), alongside their mixed album entries in Neon "Aloy Shagotom" (2007), "Shopnochura 2" (2006), "Shopnochura 3" (2007), "Bondhuta" (2008), "Rock 101" (2008), "Gorje Otho Bangladesh" (2009) & "Joyoddhoni" (2009), have all been well received by the audience. The band also scored the title music for the films, "Poddo Patar Jol" and "Amra Ekta Cinema Banabo".
Shironamhin's notable singles are "Jadukar", "Bohemian", "Barud Shomudra", "E raat, Ei Obelay", and "Cafeteria and Perfume". The band won several national awards over the years.
