International Action Art Fair concludes in Paris
The 2nd International Action Art Fair (October 12-17) recently concluded in Paris, France. To promote peace through art and to inspire cultural exchange among artists from different parts of the world, Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands and International Action Art, in cooperation with the French Federation of Clubs, Centers and Associations of UNESCO (FFPU), organised the fair.
Artists from Bangladesh, Iran, Turkey, Russia, Greece, Syria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and more took part in the art fair that included a three-day atelier, two-day exhibition, a seminar on art therapy and visits to art museums and other important architectural and cultural places.
Ioannis Maronitis, the president of the Club for UNESCO and Ardiouma Sirima, the president of FFPU graced the inaugural ceremony of the exhibition as honourable guests. The exhibition was held at the Espace Cultur'ailes art gallery in Paris, France.
Every artist created two paintings each on themes ranging from realistic to abstract following their respective styles on acrylic, oil, pen and ink and various other media. Following the exhibition, the organisers handed over certificates to the participating artists. The artists too engaged in interacting with one-another on different artistic and socio-political issues during their participation in the art fair.
