Gandaria Kisholoy Kochi-Kachar Mela hosts their 17th annual art exhibition

Providing young artists with a platform to exhibit their artworks, Gandaria Kisholoy Kochi-Kachar Mela’s Kisholoy Charukola Kendra organised their 17th annual art exhibition at its auditorium at Dinanath Road, Old Dhaka, recently. The three-day event was inaugurated on January 11.
Eminent artist Syed Abul Barak Alvi, Professor, Faculty of Fine Art (FFA), University of Dhaka (DU), was present at the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest. Artist Kamal Uddin, Lecturer, FFA, DU, also attended the programme special guest.
The second day of the event featured a prize-giving ceremony, where 142 young artists were awarded with crests and certificates. The award ceremony was presided over by M A Shafiur Rahman Dulu, Director of Gandaria Kosholoy Kochi-Kachar Mela. Artist Aynal Haque Munna and Jalal Uddin, along with Shirajul Islam Abed, Assistant Editor of Samakal were also present, among others.
Around 312 artworks, by 240 students (aged 3-18), 20 teachers and special guests were on exhibit at the event. The programme concluded with a cultural programme yesterday.
