Recently, eminent writer Akimun Rahman was awarded with  the Ananya Sahitya Puroshkar 1425 (Ananya Literary Award) at the Sufia Kamal Auditorium of the Bangladesh National Museum in Shahbag. She was honoured for her outstanding contribution to Bengali literature.

Poet Asad Chowdhury was the chief guest of the event, which was presided over by the editor of Ananya, Tasmima Hossain. Noted researcher Begum Akhtar Kamal attended the ceremony as a special guest.
