Noble confirms divorce

Singer Mainul Ahsan Noble, in a conversation with The Daily Star over the phone, confirmed that he is divorced. "Yes, it is true that I am divorced and now, I am single!" says the singer. He has been caught up in controversies ever since he came into the limelight with "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" in 2019.

"In fact, I was forced into this marriage, as I was threatened by many influential persons," says Noble.

His wife Salsable Mahmud confirmed through her Facebook profile that a divorce letter was sent to Noble. "I don't know whether the letter has been signed by Noble yet. Breaking up a relationship is always heartbreaking; however, I wish him good luck for his future endeavours," she writes.

"I will not sign them, according to the marriage act, after three months, it will automatically be passed by the honourable court," says Noble, upon asking whether he has signed the divorce papers or not.

Earlier, the singer was sued under the Digital Security Act for making some derogatory posts against Ethun Babu and other noted artistes of the country on his verified Facebook page in May this year.
