Nirab Hossain started his film career right after big success in his modeling career. In between, he appeared in TV plays, but after a while he became a regular face on the silver screen. Besides cinema, he is seen in TVC as model occasionally. The Daily Star recently caught up with the model-turned-film star.

What are your new films?

Nirob: Recently, I returned from Sylhet after shooting for “Roudro Chhaya” starring Irin and others, under the direction of Bulbul Jilani. Besides, I'm working in the film “Hridoy Jure” with Prianka from Kolkata. Rafiq Shikdar is the director of the film.

When was your latest movie released?

Nirab: “Bhola To Jay Na Tare” was released a year ago, and it was a commercial hit. My latest films “Game Returns” and “Ranga Mon” are now awaiting release. Another movie, “Target” directed by Sayed Chandan, will also hopefully come soon after getting censor board clearance.

How satisfied are you with your film career?

Nirab: It's not possible to get 100 percent satisfaction in the entertainment industry. Having said that, I'm reasonably happy with what I'm doing. I could have been very busy with TV plays but I want to act in films.

Do you also do stage shows?

Nirab: I did a number of shows nationally and internationally, like in America. I performed a show on National Film Day at BFDC last time. I love performing on stage.

What is your dream with cinema?

Nirab: I want to do such films which will keep me alive in people's mind forever.

How do you spend your leisure time?

Nirab: Everybody knows that I'm very fun loving person. I love hanging out with members of the film fraternity.

What does your wife think of your career?

Nirab: She takes a positive view. She knew very well, and about my work before the marriage. She supports my work and because of her I find inspiration in my work.
