“I gave it my hundred percent”
Shanarei Devi Shanu's journey in showbiz started with winning Lux Channel i superstar. She then kept herself busy with acting and modeling. However, for the first time, Shanu is making her appearance in the silver screen. Recently in an interview with The Daily Star, she talked about her first film.
How is the progress of your first film so far?
Shanu: The film is titled Mr Bangladesh. We are done with the filming and dubbing. At the moment, we are promoting the film, which is scheduled to be released in Eid-ul-Adha.
Tell us about your character.
Shanu: I will be seen as the female lead and my character is named 'Kumu'. I am quite impressed with the character. The film also carries a good message.
Where did the shooting take place?
Shanu: We shot at different places including Cox's Bazar, Ukhia, Rohingya Camp and Gazipur. I have plenty of memories to cherish from my shooting days. It was my first film and hence, I gave my hundred percent.
What are you doing now?
Shanu: Currently, I am acting in Channel i's Saat Bhai Chompa. I cannot commit to any more series at the moment because of the work load. I'm also shooting in FDC.
How is the response regarding Saat Bhai Chompa?
Shanu: I am playing the role of a queen and people have now started calling me Boro Raani. I would say this is the success of my work. The response is quite overwhelming.
