Shooting houses in Uttara operating in full swing

Uttara is amongst the most popular of places when it comes to shooting tele-fictions. The area has a history of providing various apartments which are rented out as shooting houses. These houses remain active more or less throughout the year, but when Eid approaches, its rush hour! Currently, multiple members of the fraternity are working in full swing every day at these locations, to meet their respective deadlines. Even though a fixed working-hour has been set earlier, it is barely implemented when the seasonal bells begin to ring.

Anando Bari, one of the most renowned shooting houses in Uttara, served as the venue where many renowned tele-fictions were shot. At one point in time, actor Hridi Haq rented the place for her shoots, namely for the tele-fiction Ananda Bari, from which the house acquired its title.

Another popular place for the shoots is Aponghor, which is currently abuzz with the cast and crew members of tele-fictions. Rajjo is yet another shooting house where director Ferdous Hasan works year-round shooting for his projects. However, when he is not working, it is rented out to others for the sake of convenience.

The shooting house Nilanjona, also known as Richi’s house, is quite popular for the shooting of TV serials throughout the year. Work is in full progress on a daily basis during the festive season.

Asroy and Khonikaloy are amongst the older venues for shooting tele-fictions in Uttara, when shooting houses were not as widespread. The latter derived its name from the title of a TV serial for Maasranga Television, and has been known by that name ever since. Shawpnil 3 is a shooting house that is not only popular for tele-fictions but also films. Apart from the aforementioned spots, there are many more houses across Uttara, which are equally getting busier by the day, as Eid nears.
