Director Abdullah Mohammad Saad's internationally acclaimed film, Live From Dhaka, will be shown at Star Cineplex from March 29 onwards. The film is a groundbreaking achievement for Bangladesh in the international arena, as it was the first to be screened at a main segment in the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) and the Singapore Film Festival (SGIFF), where it won the Best Actor and Best Director awards. The film tells the story of a differently-abled individual, who loses his grip on life in Dhaka, and eventually his grip on family, love and money. The film depicts the overambitious urban strata, where a segment of the society nurtures unrealistic dreams.
