Iti, Tomari Dhaka, Bangladesh’s first anthology film, is set to release in November this year. It was recently approved by the Film Censor Board of Bangladesh. The film has made successful rounds at close to twenty different international film festivals across the globe, including the 23rd Busan International Film Festival, Global Cinema Festival Siliguri 2019, Singapore South Asian International Film Festival and Durban International Film Festival, among several others. It won an award under the category of Russian Film Critics’ Guild at the 15th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival, and an award under the category of best original screenplay at the 11th Jaipur International Film Festival.
With eleven exceptionally promising young directors from Bangladesh, Impress Telefilm’s Iti, Tomari Dhaka is an assortment of shorts, with Dhaka as its central theme. The film stars Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Intekhab Dinar, Shatabdi Wadud, Iresh Zaker, Lutfur Rahman George and Fazlur Rahman Babu, among others, in key roles.
