FERDOUS hopeful about 'Postmaster 71'

Ferdous is one of the most popular leads in Bangladeshi cinema, having many memorable hits under his belt. However, we will now see the charismatic superstar in a completely different avatar in 'Postmaster 71'.

Jointly directed by Abir Khan and Rashed Shamim, Postmaster 71 will see the pairing of Ferdous and Moushumi. Interestingly, Ferdous is also the scriptwriter and producer of the film through his production Nuzhat Films.

“The film is set in 1971, and is about a postmaster who inspires others to fight for our country,” said Ferdous to The Daily Star. The actor mentioned that he had wanted to make a film about Bangladesh's Liberation War for a long time. “I want the newer generations to know about our Liberation War,” he added.

Besides Postmaster 71, Ferdous and Moushumi have recently acted together in a film titled Shunno Hridoy, which is yet to release. “Moushumi and I are very hopeful about the film, and I am sure that the audience will like the film”, said Ferdous.
