Jaya Ahsan, Chanchal Chowdhury, Animesh Aich, Sabnam Faria and director Anam Biswas came together at the press conference of Debi at Dhaka club recently.

“Debi is Jaya Ahsan's first film as a producer, and I am quite hopeful for its success,”said Hasanul Haq Inu, Minister of Information of Bangladesh, who was present at the press conference as the chief guest. 

Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, president of Bangladesh Film Directors Association, commented that both Humayun Ahmed's novel and Jaya Ahsan are loved by the people, and they are looking forward to seeing both on the silver screen. “A combination of these two will definitely be a beautiful one,” he said.

Chanchal Chowdhury, who plays the role of Misir Ali, said that he is having sleepless nights because of the anticipation. “I want people to love Debi, because the team has worked really hard for it.”

Jaya Ahsan expressed her gratitude towards the media. “I want to thank everyone who helped me with the promotion of this film,” she said.

The conference, hosted by Rumman Rashid Khan, ended with a Q&A session. Debi is scheduled to release on October 19.
