Bappy Chowdhury has become a favourite amongst cinemagoers in a short span of time, thanks to his remarkable performances on the silver screen. Currently, the actor is working on several films. He is also looking forward to a joyous Durga Puja this year.
Tell us about your plans on Durga Puja.
The festivities of Durga Puja are something I wait for throughout the year. I am looking forward to visiting Bagerhat and Barura in Comilla. I will be in my hometown, Narayanganj on Dashami.
You are quite a popular face. When you go out to Puja celebrations, do you get mobbed by crowds?
Issues arise when people recognise me during the celebrations. So, I go out in disguise. I wear a mask, cap and a pair of sunglasses. I will be going out in this disguise to several places this time around.
What are some of your fondest childhood memories of Durga Puja?
Growing up, we always brought fireworks to our home during Puja and I would go out to light them up with my friends. In the mornings, we would go to the nearby temple to bring food and distribute it throughout the neighbourhood.
Lastly, what are you currently working on?
I am working on the films Danger Zone, Paglami and Ghola. I will also be a part of Premer Badhon and Shashurbari Zindabad 2.
