Suchitra Sen, screen legend of Bangla film was recalled at her ancestral hometown in Pabna on Wednesday, marking her fourth death anniversary. Suchitra Sen Chalachitra Shangshad Pabna organised discussion while Pabna district administration held a programme at the Pabna Town Girl's High School, where Suchitra Sen once studied, on the occasion.
President of Suchitra Sen Chalachitra Shangshad Pabna Jakir Hossain chaired the discussion while a number of guests spoke on the occasion. The speakers commemorated the legendary film actress, and criticised the inadequate imitatives to keep her memory alive in Pabna.
Pabna district administration, along with the Suchitra Sen Smrity Shangrakhhan Parishad Pabna organised a discussion about her life and work at Pabna Town Girl's High School.
Pabna Deputy Commissioner Jasim Uddin chaired the program while the chairman of Pabna Zila Parishad Rezaur Rahim Lal spoke as chief guest.
Suchira Sen, born on April, 6, 1931 at Bangabari of Sirajganj, spent her early life in Gopalpur Hem Sagor Len in Pabna. The iconic actress passed away on January 17, 2014 in Kolkata, India.
