Sajid-Bin-Doza is an established name in the field of architecture in Bangladesh. Today marks the opening of the architect's 8th solo sketch exhibition, which will be held from 5 pm at La Galerie, Alliance Française de Dhaka (AFD) in the capital.
Minister of Cultural Affairs, Asaduzzaman Noor, MP will grace the inauguration event as the chief guest while prominent architect and poet Rabiul Husain will be present as the guest of honour. President of Institute of Architects Bangladesh, Kazi Golam Nasir and Director of Elite Paint and Chemical Industries Ltd Shajir Ahmed are scheduled to attend as the special guests. The exhibition is titled 'SILENCE IN THE CROWD: Sketches of National Parliament Building of Bangladesh' and its focus is the National Parliament House. Using pen, ink and sometimes soft colours on handmade paper, Sajid-Bin-Doza captured the architectural magnificence of the complex in his sketches.
The exhibition is open for all and will run till August 11, Monday to Thursday from 3 pm to 9 pm, Friday and Saturday (9 am to 12 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm). The exhibition will remain closed on Sunday.
