116 Pak cops suspended over 2014 incident

Punjab province authorities suspended at least 116 police officials, including top officers, in connection with the killing of demonstrators during a public protest here in 2014. The incident occurred at Model Town area of Lahore where at least 14 people were killed and 100 others injured when the police opened fire to disperse protesting workers.
