Mild cold wave sweeps 4 dists, minimum temperature slightly up

Bangladesh recorded a slight improvement in minimum temperature in the 24 hours till 6:00am today, though a mild cold wave is sweeping four districts.

The country's lowest temperature was recorded at 8.2 degrees Celsius at Tetulia during the 24-hour period. The highest temperature was recorded at 30.1 degrees Celsius in Chattogram during, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

A mild cold wave is sweeping Nilphamari, Kurigram, Panchagarh and Moulvibazar districts and it may abate, it added.

Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the river basins, and light to moderate fog may occur at other places in the country during late night till next morning.

The weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy skies over the country. Night and day temperatures may rise slightly.
