Barrister Rafique-ul-Huq placed on life support

Eminent lawyer Barrister Rafique-ul-Huq, who is undergoing treatment at Ad-Din Hospital in the capital, has been placed on life support.
His condition is not improving, but stable, Nahida Yeasmin, the director of the hospital told The Daily Star tonight.
On Thursday evening, this eminent jurist, currently 85, was admitted to the hospital with urine infection and old-age complications, source said.
On Saturday, he was released from the hospital as his condition improved.
He, however, was again admitted to the hospital on Sunday as his condition deteriorated.
"He was admitted to the hospital with urine infection. Besides, he had lungs infection, anemia and multiple old-age complications.
He was doing well. But his oxygen saturation and blood pressure dropped at around 12am today and we transferred him to the ICU," Nahida said.
She informed a team of specialist doctors are supervising his treatment.
Dr Nahida also informed that Barrister Rafique tested Covid-19 negative in rt-PCR test.
