Tk 5.58cr graft case: Charges pressed against Jubo league ex-leader Khalid
Anti-Corruption Commission today pressed charges against expelled Jubo League leader Khalid Mahmud Bhuiyan in a case filed for amassing Tk 5.58 crore illegally.
ACC Deputy Director Md Jahangir Alam, also the investigation officer of the case, submitted the charge sheet against Khalid to the Senior Special Judge's Court of Dhaka.
The charge sheet will be placed before the court for the next course of action after a 15-day court vacation which started December 15, an official of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court of Dhaka confirmed the matter to The Daily Star.
Earlier on October 21 last year, the ACC filed a case against Khalid with its Integrated District Office-1 of Dhaka.
Khalid was expelled from the position of organising secretary of Jubo League's Dhaka South City unit.
In the charge sheet, 15 people have been made prosecution witnesses including complainant of the case.
