Professional social networking platform LinkedIn is adding artificial intelligence (AI) tools to its platform to enable users to write descriptions for their profiles and job postings.

One of the tools unveiled recently scans user profiles for relevant skills and experiences before spouting suggested text or summaries to add to other profile areas.

For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel.

According to LinkedIn, users should still review what the tool has produced 'to ensure it is accurate and aligns with your tone and experience.'

Another employment tool offers to simplify the hiring process and make the process of writing job descriptions faster and easier. The LinkedIn tool will generate a description according to the details provided by the employer, including the role's title and the company name, which the recruiting manager can later update.

LinkedIn will start testing the tool before opening access to all LinkedIn Premium members over the coming months.
