Lalamove launches in Bangladesh

Lalamove, the Asia-based delivery and courier service provider, has recently launched operations in Bangladesh. According to the company, this marks their 11th market in their industry across Asia and Latin America.
Lalamove partners with driver partners in Bangladesh to offer four types of delivery options: motorcycles, cars, 1-ton trucks and CNGs. Out of these, motorcycles, cars and trucks are already in service, while CNGs will be available soon.
Lalamove aims to provide efficiency in delivery systems in Bangladesh and by connecting driver partners to delivery needs, hopes to provide more flexible earning opportunities for the local driver community.
Officially inaugurated in Hong Kong in 2013, Lalamove now has 10 million users and 1.8 million driver partners in more than 30 cities in Asia and Latin America. The company has stated that due to their tech-powered quick matching system, they can contribute to the logistics ecosystem in Bangladesh by offering individuals, SMEs and big businesses with fast and affordable delivery solutions.
According to Paul Loo, Chief Operating Officer at Lalamove, the platform has seen an 160% increase in total users and doubled the number of the cities of operation in the past two years. "We see promising growth potential and opportunities from Bangladesh," stated Loo. "The country's impressive economic growth is creating abundant opportunities for local small businesses which are the backbone of the economy," he added.
The Lalamove app can be downloaded in the Google Play Store as well as the Huawei App Gallery in Bangladesh.
Users can place orders for deliveries on the platform starting from Tk. 47 for deliveries via motorcycle and Tk. 55 for CNG across Dhaka City, Narayanganj and Tongi.
