Call 999 for RobinHood!
After a discussion between the RobinHood The Animal Rescuer team and Additional DIG Md Tobarak Ullah, along with other senior police officers, the national emergency helpline service was facilitated for animal rescue operations recently.
In case of an emergency, for instance if an animal is stuck on the sun-shed of a multi-storeyed building, in a pipe, or in a deep hole underground, individuals are asked to call 999 and inform the case. The rescue missions for such cases will be facilitated by the RobinHood team.
Afzal Khan, the Founder and Chairperson of RobinHood, has been working with this cause for over a decade. "We are often short on funds as we do not have any foreign donors yet. However, we try our best," he says. "Being associated with the national emergency helpline will help us reach more animals in need."
RobinHood team continues to conduct rescue missions almost every day. This organisation aims at establishing an animal shelter for homeless animals. "I think it's only possible if other animal lovers join our cause in providing love and support for these voiceless friends," concludes Afzal.
