Youth ODI leg starts today

The visiting Bangladesh under-19 team will take on Sri Lanka in the first of a five-match youth ODI series at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium today.

Earlier, the two-match youth Test series between the sides ended in a 1-1 draw. Sri Lanka clinched the second four-dayer following their defeat in the first Test.

In the first four-day match, Towhid Hridoy's charges clinched a dramatic 13-run win, riding on a superb display from the bowlers. However, the visitors went on to face 74-run defeat in the second and final Test of the series.

Bangladesh will face the home team in the second one-day affair on November 1 while the remaining three ODIs are set to take place on November 3, 6 and 9 respectively.
