Victorians usurp Kings
Comilla Victorians usurped Rajshahi Kings by five wickets thanks to Shahid Afridi and Anamul Haque in the 10th match of the Bangladesh Premier League today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Mehedi Miraz's Rajshahi were in early trouble losing Mominul Haque and Soumya Sarkar before Afridi struck with back-to-back deliveries to remove Mehedi (30 off 17) and Mohammad Hafeez (16 off 17) and cause an immense collapse to see Rajshahi stumble to 63 for 7. Isuru Udana's 30-ball 32 took them to 124 all-out in 18.5 overs.
In reply, Comilla were off to a flier with openers Anamul Haque (40) and Evin Lewis (28) combining in a 65-run partnership. Even after they lost a few wickets, Comilla never really looked like they were in trouble and Afridi hit the winning runs with a six as they won with 1.2 overs to spare.
