Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been given the No Objection Certificate for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL), scheduled to start from March 23.
“He has been given NOC for IPL,” said Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury to The Daily Star today.
BCB CEO however mentioned that, keeping in mind Bangladesh’s upcoming tri-nation series in Ireland -- scheduled to begin from May 7 -- the team management can opt to call the 31-year old all-rounder for national duty whenever they deem fit.
Shakib, who helped Sunrisers Hyderabad to finish as runners up in the last edition of IPL, was retained by the franchise for this edition too. Sunrisers will face Kolkata Knight Riders on March 24 in their first match of this IPL.
