‘Shakib plays hard and may get grumpy’

Shakib Al Hasan's teammate believes that the Dhaka Dynamites skipper plays hard and that might be mean he can get grumpy too.
Hard-hitting West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell had the opportunity to play alongside Bangladesh's ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and insisted that the Bangladesh Test and T20 skipper was a good captain who might get grumpy if things did not go according to plan.
'Shakib is a very good skipper. I have played with him at KKR and Jamaica Tallawahs as well. He plays hard and at times he may get grumpy and that's how the captains are," Russell opined on Shakib. They have played together for Kolkata Knight Riders in the India Premier League and Jamaica Tallawahs in the Caribbean Premier League.
Russell said that captains have the responsibility to bring the best out of the players and felt that even as Shakib might be a grumpy or demanding captain, the player always brings his best. We are all professionals and once we make an error in bowl or bat, we play a bad shot or something like, skipper gonna react hard. We just have to make sure that we just make it as easy as possible. As a captain, I know he will do his best as well to lead the team," he added.
Dhaka made it to the BPL final last season but were eventually beaten by Mashrafe Bin Mortaza's Rangpur Riders, thanks to Chris Gayle raising havoc at Mirpur. Russell might be hoping that a grumpy Shakib can take the side all the way this time.
