Saif continues fine form with double hundred
Saif Hassan struck an incredible double hundred for Dhaka Division today during the second day of the four-day National Cricket League (NCL) match against Rangpur Division.
Having recently scored a century in Sri Lanka to help Bangladesh A clinch the one-day series 2-1 in Sri Lanka, Saif continued his fine form as he reached 120 yesterday before retiring hurt due to cramps.
He however returned to the crease today upon the loss of a wicket and continued his superb form to notch a double hundred, remaining unbeaten on a 220 off 329 deliveries as Dhaka put up 556 runs on the board for the loss of eight wickets before declaring. Saif struck 19 fours and four sixes during his knock.
Saif had admitted after returning to the country following the Sri Lanka series that he was preparing himself for the national team. He also noted that he always took matches seriously whether national selectors were watching or not. After his double ton today, it will be hard for selectors to not notice him.
