Dhaka will be thinking of us a lot more, says Imrul

Imrul Kayes has led his side Comilla Victorians to the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) final with well-balanced side. Asked where his side has the advantage, he reiterated that Dhaka Dynamites will be the side who will think a lot about Comilla than the other way around. And that will mean that his side will have the mental edge when the two sides meet in the final tomorrow.

Vicorians won by narrow margins in both of their matches against Dhaka so far in the tournament. All-rounders Thisara Perera was the hero in the first match while the second one – a tight encounter that finished with a one-run victory for Comilla -- saw Mohammad Saifuddin emerge as the hero.

Having won those matches, Imrul felt that his side has the slight edge over their opponents. "Final is a matter of luck. You can say that we won two matches against them and that gives us a lead over them.

"We are in a good place in terms of confidence since when you defeat a team twice, ultimately, the opponent will think about you a lot more than you thinking about them. I think that is a positive for us" he said.

There will be tactical plans and analysis of the opponent but at the end everything will depend on execution. So if there is a mental edge over the opponent, it is going to be beneficial for Comilla.

"Dhaka played their four all-rounders in both those games but lost. So we are not thinking about extra plans. I f we can execute according to our strengths then a result will come," he concluded on the recipe for success.
