Bangladesh to play ODI tri-series in Ireland before World Cup
Bangladesh cricket team will play in an ODI series in Ireland against the West Indies and the hosts, ahead of the ICC 2019 World Cup in England which will begin on May 30.
According to cricket website Cricinfo, the tournament will take place from May 5 next year where the teams will face each other twice, with the top two sides playing the final on May 17.
"We were scheduled to play a series in Ireland next year and the matter is under discussion. However, as the home nation's cricket board normally confirms the participants of a tournament, we can't make any comment on this," Bangladesh Cricket Board's media committee chairman Jalal Yunus told The Daily Star today.
Bangladesh are scheduled to tour New Zealand in February next year where the visitors will play three ODIs and a three-match Test series.
The Tigers previously took part in a tri-series in Ireland alongside New Zealand last year in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 in England.
