Eminence Beyond Boundary: Jaya Ahsan

Jaya Ahsan's latest film 'Debi' is currently the talk of the town in both Bangladesh and Kolkata. Based on the novel written by Humayun Ahmed, 'Debi' has been at the center of attention since its confirmation. The glamorous Jaya Ahsan, who has been working in blockbusters one after another, has stepped into the field of production for the first time. The first look of the poster was released on April 11, 2018 and right after the release of the teaser, it took the internet by storm.

This movie casts eminent actors like Chanchal Chowdhury, Jaya Ahsan, Shabnam Faria, Animesh Aich and Iresh Zaker. Even though the release date is yet to be finalized, fans of Jaya have already started talking about pre-booking their tickets!

Kontho, directed by Shiva Prasad and Nandita Roy, and Crisscross by Birsa Das Gupta are the two latest movies that she has worked in. After finishing them she came back to Dhaka and shared her experiences of working in the new movies, “It is always great to be back to my own city. I had been busy with all the three films and now working on the post production of my own film, Debi,” stated Jaya.

This phenomenal actor has won the third edition of Jio Filmfare Awards (East) 2018 in the Best Actress category for the first time for the Indo-Bangla joint venture movie Bishorjon. This film was selected as the Best Film and its director Kaushik  Ganguly won the Best Director award. She shared her heartfelt gratitude on her Facebook page stating, “It's all of your continuing love and recognition for my work that keeps on encouraging me to do more. Truly overwhelmed and humbled for being chosen the Best Actress for Bishorjon at Jio Filmfare Awards, East 2018.”
