Modern Family Finds Its New Joe
There's a new member of the Pritchett family. When "Modern Family" Season 7 premieres on Wednesday, September 23, we will be seeing a different Fulgencio "Joe" Pritchett, son of Gloria (Sofia Vergara) and Jay (Ed O'Neill). The toddler was played for the past two seasons by Pierce Wallace, but ABC recast the role with Jeremy Maguire.
This isn't the first time "Modern Family" has aged-up its kids. Aubrey Anderson-Emmons joined the show as older Lily, Mitch and Cam's daughter, in a role that was previously played by twins Ella and Jaden Hiller. Joe's onscreen mom Sofia Vergara revealed the identity of the newest cast member in an Instagram post earlier this week as producers went with a slightly older actor to play Jay and Gloria's newly "rough and tumble" son, portraying a Yin to Manny's Yang.
