Shout Hotshots: Gameweek 11
As predicted, Gameweek 10 made the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers happy as big guns like Sergio Aguero, Alexis Sanchez, Eden Hazard and RomeluLukaku fetched handsome returns.
Gameweek 11 also looks likely to make them smile again, with in-form Manchester City hostingMiddleborough and Liverpool entertaining Watford, two games FPL managers will have vested interest in.
Here are our suggested eleven for this week, which we believe will help you make a better team.
Tom Heaton, priced only 4.7m, is the highest-scoring goalkeeper at present and there is no reason to ignore him when Burnley host Crystal Palace. Besides his clean sheet prospects in front of the home fans, his affinity to accumulate save points make him a very good option.
Manchester City have kept only two clean sheets this far, but last week’s shutout against West Brom will definitely boost John Stones and his fellow defenders’ confidence when they host Middleborough.
With three clean sheets, a goal and an assist, Adam Smith is a steal at only 4.8m. Taking him is a no-brainer not only because Bournemouth are hosting a goal-shy Sunderland, but also because he promises returns at both ends of the pitch.
It’s been a while champions Leicester City kept a clean sheet, but at home against a West Brom side that will miss the inspirational NacerChadli, Robert Huth and boys will fancy a shutout. The German’s position sense in set pieces is also noteworthy.
Alexis Sanchez is a fixture-proof player and in a North London Derby you will expect him to deliver.
IlkayGündogan has been in great form of late and his habit of being at the right place at the right time makes him a good option against a mediocre Middleborough team at the Etihad.
Having Philippe Coutinhois a must as the Brazilian sits joint third in terms of overall points scored so far this season. Last week he failed to find the net, but did provide two assists. Against Watford at home, you would expect him to shine, just like his team-mate Sadio Mane, who loves scoring at home.
Sergio Aguero is probably everyone’s captain this time after his brace and an assist against West Brom last week. At home against Middleborough, he is expected to do what he is famed for – score goals.
Diego Costa is the top-scorer in the league and against Everton at home the Spaniard is expected to continue his great form. Especially given the way his team is demolishing opponents of late.
Charlie Austinwill play Hull away, but the Tigers are not among the best defensive teams in the league. He will be eager to return to goals after a two-match draught.
