Savar schoolgirl Nila murder: prime accused Mizanur confesses
The prime accused in Savar schoolgirl Nila Roy murder case-- Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury--today confessed to a Dhaka court that he killed the girl because she refused to continue a "love affair" with him, court sources said.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Rajib Hassan recorded Mizanur's confessional statement under the section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) after investigation officer Nirmol Kumar Das, also an inspector (intelligence) of Savar Model Police Station, produced Mizanur at his chamber.
After recording the statement, the magistrate sent Mizanur to Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj.
Most details of the confessional statement could not be known yet.
On September 20, Nila, a 10th-grader of Aced School, was stabbed to death by Mizan, according to the case statement.
