Rohingya repatriation: Envoys asked to engage international bodies
Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has requested the local and foreign diplomats to engage different governments and civil society members internationally to help create a safe environment and oversee the repatriation process of Rohingya refugees.
The honorary consul generals of different countries working in Bangladesh and abroad have been sent a letter in this regard, reads a press release by the Foreign Ministry.
In the letter, the foreign minister said that Bangladesh does not have the capacity to indefinitely host Rohingya refugees who fled persecution in Myanmar.
