‘Govt conspiring to link BNP to student movement’

Says BNP leader Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today said the government is hatching a conspiracy trying to implicate the party in ongoing student agitation.

“We noticed that the government is hatching plots to implicate our party men in terrorist activities to take the student movement to another direction,” Fakhrul said while addressing a press conference at the party’s Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka.

The government has lost its trustworthiness for indulgence in misdeeds and mismanagement and thus the innocent students are not willing to keep faith in its commitment, he said.

Claiming that not only the transport sector, he said the government has failed in every sector and turned the country into a failed state, the BNP leader said.

About telephone conversation of BNP leader Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury centering the student movement, Fakhrul said it is nothing but a distortion of voice.

People know that the ruling party cooks up story and put it on another shoulder to attain its political interest, Fakhrul said, calling upon the countrymen to be get united in a bid to oust the autocratic ruler.
