Singapore for boosting ties with Hasina govt
Singapore has expressed willingness to boost relation with the new Bangladesh government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Consul of Singapore, William Chik conveyed the message to new Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen at an introductory call at the latter’s office today.
A press release issued by the foreign ministry said, Minister Momen praised Singapore and its dynamic people for the tremendous economic success.
Momen requested Consul Chikto take steps to reduce the bilateral trade deficits. The consul assured to convey this message to his government.
Minister Momen emphasised boosting volume of skilled manpower export to Singapore from Bangladesh and thanked Singapore for standing by Bangladesh on Rohingya issue.
