‘Living creatures can’t be used in polls campaign’
The Election Commission today approved the electoral code of conduct after amending some of its sections ahead of the next general elections slated to be held at the end of December.
EC Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed told this to reporters after the 37th meeting of the commission held at Nirbachan Bhaban in Dhaka’s Agargaon area.
“The meeting has made two amendments. These are: no living creatures can be used in the election campaign,” the EC secretary said, adding that any cloth-made posters cannot be used for the polls campaign as the word ‘cloth’ has been dropped from the definition of posters.
