CEC to meet President Hamid Nov 1

Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda will be meeting President Abdul Hamid at the presidential quarters in Bangabhaban on November 1.

Chief commissioner Huda will be accompanied by four election commissioners.

The president's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told The Daily Star that the appointment has been scheduled for 4:00pm on that day.

Election Commission Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed has said, the commission is likely to announce the election schedule in the same week after the meeting.

According to previous statements of the Election Commission, the 11th parliamentary election is likely to be held by December-end.
