‘Govt will be responsible if Khaleda’s health deteriorates’

The government will be held responsible if BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s health deteriorates in jail, BNP standing committee member Moudud Ahmed said today.

“The government’s medical board is an eyewash,” Moudud said pointing to the medical board formed to assess the condition of Khaleda. “It is nothing but an eyewash.”

In this condition, if her (Khaleda) health condition deteriorates then the people of the country will never forgive the government, Moudud said while speaking at a programme in Jatiya Press Club.

"Although the government is saying that Khaleda Zia is ill, they are not letting us and the nation know exactly what has happened to her," Moudud claimed.
