Disclose deals to be signed with India: BNP
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today again demanded disclosure of the proposed deal to be signed during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s India visit scheduled for April 7.
Prior to the prime minister’s India visit, the proposed deal with the neighbouring country should be disclosed for the sake of the country’s sovereign existence, Fakhrul made the call while addressing a press conference at the party’s Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka this afternoon.
Fakhrul also warned that the countrymen will not accept any deal or memorandum of understanding if it inks ignoring people’s interest.
He said people have rights to know about the proposed deal and to give their opinion in this regards.
The premier is scheduled to undertake a 4-day state visit to India on April 07 at the invitation of her counterpart Narendra Modi.
Sources at the Foreign Ministry said Bangladesh and India have taken necessary preparations to sign 'more or less 30 deals and MoUs' during the prime minister's tour.
